Speech and Language Evaluations
A speech and language evaluation is a comprehensive assessment/analysis of all aspects of communication. This includes understanding of language, language use, pronunciation, social interaction skills, fluency, voice and oral motor competence. The assessment is conducted by a speech-language pathologist (SLP) with the assistance of the family. Based on the results, recommendations and a Plan of Care are then developed by the SLP.

Speech and Language Therapy
Therapy consists of a series of regularly schedules appointments to target specific speech and/or language goals which were identified during the evaluation process. These goals are usually accomplished over time. Therapy is conducted individually. Family members participate in the therapeutic process through home practice activities to promote carryover of newly acquired skills.

Speech and Language Screenings
Comprehensive screening of communication skills to determine if further testing is recommended. This is offered at daycares, preschools, and private schools. Therapy services are provided at the schools for those students needing communication intervention.
